Beginning with tonight's Trial of the Crusader (25), I will be recording Combat Log data. I will be recording this for both 10- and 25-man raids that I participate in. After the raid, I will be uploading my combat log to WoWWebStats.com and making the URL for the analysis output available via the Combat Logs Topic heading. If you have any questions regarding what WoWWebStats is, what it's for, or how to make use of the data outputs, please ask. The Reader's Digest version is that it converts the combat log text file into a usable summary of raid input and output during various fights. It allows DPSers to see how they stack up next to others of their class, allows healers to see the overall healing output vs. damage input, and allows individual players great insight into their performance in certain fights as well as the raid as a whole.

Hey so is this more or less another/more detailed recount? Also is there a possible link to how to understand what we're seeing, I'm going to play with it more and see what's what but I've never really seen these and I'm definetly interested in seeing where I can improve. I'm spending a lot of time on Elitist Jerks and various web sites I know I'm missing something that's just under my nose!

Thanks for taking the time to do this by the way!

Naleiisa - thank you for the sticky, I will definitely be using that thread.

Katan - when i upload tonight's data, i will also post a tutorial of how to make it useful for various people. it is a VASTLY more detailed recount based on timestamp. i'll explain more later.

Kata, yea it can be a crazy site to use but its useful for various reason. Here is an example of a posted information on one boss last week that we did. These are the things I did during that fight.

You can get fight by fight data and overall data. You can split it by person or you can veiw the entire raid data via the who heals whom and who hits who. It seems the who heals whom section is either messed up or somehow I didnt capture that data.

I looked at the log file and it has heals listed as 0. That sucks but will have to take a look at Merels when he posts it later tonight.

Anywho....
